Something for nothing. It’s an attractive offer, and when it comes to getting a 3D printed item for nothing, it’s sure to generate some interest.
That’s why the announcement that Zeepro, the makers of the Zim smart-connected 3D printer, will offer a week-long chance for those who don’t own a printer and want to try out their new ZeeproShare program is going to cause a splash.
They call it #My3DPrintWithZeepro, and is gives anyone a chance to check out their ZeeproShare program — even if you don’t currently own a 3D printer. If you qualify as a participant, you can choose an object on the ZeeproShare site and watch as it’s printed in real time at Zeepro’s headquarters
And once the object is complete, participants will have their 3D print mailed to them as a gift.
To apply, simply head over to the ZeeproShare website and you’ll receive a limited-time code to access their Zim printer. The number of participants will be limited to 500, so check out the terms and conditions on their website.
You can apply for the program starting on March 10 at 9 AM EST through March 15 at 7 PM EST, and the printing access for the campaign will run from March 20 to March 26, 2015.
ZeeproShare is an online solution that allows users to 3D print remotely — from any device. The ZeeproShare app lets users connect to their Zim 3D printer, select an object, choose a color, and then launch a print while they monitor the process. It happens thanks the Zim’s embedded HD camera.
And one cool feature of the process is that, once a print is complete, a 30 second time-lapse video is instantly generated and can be shared via email or on social networks.
ZeeproShare also lets users connect onto another user’s Zim if the owner grants access.

Zeepro, based in San Francisco and VC backed, boasts a unique approach which lets users access 3D printing technology to easily share objects from a smartphone, tablet, or desktop device. Back in September 2013, Zeepro offered an embedded camera into their smart-connected 3D printer and gave 3D printers the facility to be user-controlled directly from smartphones and tablets.
