Over the past few months, we have been seeing more and more 3D printers come to market all around the world. One of the up and coming hotbeds for 3D printing technology is on the continent of Asia. While China has been a leader in 3D printing innovation, especially when it comes to printing large-scale structures such as houses and other large buildings, India seems to really be catching on in the desktop 3D printing space.

We have seen several new companies announce desktop FFF-based 3D printers over the last several months, many of them priced very low while promising to maintain the quality seen in similar American and European made machines.

Today, 3DPrint.com has been informed of yet another 3D printer manufacturer that has emerged from India, a country with a rapidly expanding economy and a population of over 1.2 billion people. ShaperJet (website coming soon) has announced plans to release their all-new ShaperJet 3D printer in India by the end of March, with distribution and shipments available worldwide by the third quarter of 2015.

ShaperJet tells 3DPrint.com that the 3D printer isn’t all that they are offering, but anyone who purchases the 3D printer will also get top-notch customer service and support, unlike that for 3D printers manufactured elsewhere in Asia. The ShaperJet 3D printer, which features a very low price tag of just $720, is portable and built of “strong fiber board framework” which makes it extremely light weight yet very strong. It will have a top-of-the-line E3D hotend which should solve many problems for people having issues with clogs.

“We love what we do,” explains ShaperJet. “It’s our passion to help people, to take their ideas from inception and make them a reality. With ShaperJet 3D Printers, we help shape dreams and bring them to life.”

Other specifications of the ShaperJet 3D Printer are as follows:

  • Build Volume: 145 x 145 x 180 mm
  • Layer Resolution: 0.06mm
  • Warranty: 90 days
  • Support: 1 year online support

ShaperJet also tells us that they will be releasing a DIY kit as well, although no pricing or official release date has been announced quite yet.
